West Coaster’s Selected for NZ Marist STH ZONE Primary Schools XV
Two of Wests Coasts promising young rugby talents have been chosen to play for the NZ Marist Southern Zone Primary Schools Team, after some outstanding form for their clubs in 2013.
Jack Lodge (Wests) and Blake Robertson (Marist) will travel to Timaru to play their Northern Zone counterparts for the Pompallier Shield, which the Southern Zone side won for the first time last year in a thrilling encounter.
West Coast Rugby Development Officer Robbie Maitland was thrilled for the players selected. “It’s a great opportunity for Jack and Blake and I am sure they will make the most of it and also be great ambassadors for their clubs and our region” Maitland said.
The match will be the curtain raiser to the New Zealand Marist XV versus the New Zealand Heartland XV which will be played on November the 9th at the Alpine Energy Stadium in Timaru.
