MEDIA RELEASE – West Coast Rugby Union announces head coach for 2023 West Coast Heartland Campaign

It is with great enthusiasm that the West Coast Rugby Union announces the appointment of Head Coach Sean Cuttance for the 2023 Heartland Championship. The appointment follows a review of the 2022 season.

“The board is 100% behind Sean and hopes that the 2023 Heartland Squad will perform well on the park. Sean has made huge contributions to West Coast rugby previously and we are over the moon that he has committed to another campaign” – Mike Meehan, Chairman of the West Coast Rugby Union.

Sean has appointed Troy Tauwhare and Jared Mitchell as his assistant coaches, Nick Muir as trainer and Luke McNeish as the Manager for the upcoming season. This provides a strong team for the 2023 season.

The West Coast Rugby Union appreciates the support of the community and hopes to build positively towards 2023 and beyond. The Union believes the Heartland team will be extremely competitive under the direction of Sean and his team of experienced coaches and management.
